  • A busy town-centre street market with stalls lining both sides of a pedestrianised shopping area. Decorative bunting is strung overhead, and shoppers walk between food vendors and market stands. In the foreground, Sioned is wearing a green waterproof coat stands facing the camera, with shops including Holland & Barrett visible in the background.
  • Inside a traditional butcher's shop, Sioned speaks with a member of staff standing behind the counter. The shop contains stainless-steel work surfaces, display equipment, framed photographs on the walls, and an open preparation area visible through an interior window.
  • Sioned stands beside a charity stall under a blue RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) gazebo. Volunteers are positioned behind a table displaying RNLI merchandise, postcards, stationery, and fundraising items, with branded clothing and lifeboat-themed products visible throughout the stand.

Visiting the bustling Neath Fair, where local traders, community groups and residents came together to enjoy one of the town's most popular annual events. Its was great to meet local business owners and hearing firsthand about the challenges and opportunities facing independent retailers in the town centre. I was especially pleased to stop by the RNLI stall to meet dedicated volunteers and learn more about the organisation's lifesaving work and community fundraising efforts.

For 746 years, Neath Fair has been much loved part of the town's calendar. As well as the amazing Neath Great Fair funfair, there's also a fabulous street fair which contains food stalls, goods of all kinds stall and local charities.
