Visit to Glantawe Riverside Park, Pontardawe

I recently spent the morning with Gail at the Glantawe Riverside Park in Pontardawe to see their wonderful outdoors educational programme in action. I was concerned after I was contacted by a constituent who was upset that his granddaughter's school would not be visiting to the centre from now on due to lack of funding and he expressed how much all the children had enjoyed and benefitted from the opportunities provided by the centre in previous years. Gail confirmed that funding cuts were of great concern and that many local schools were now in a similar position and were stopping utilising the site. We discussed some of the valuable projects that they offer.I will be doing my best to help support the centre and ensure this valuable and beautiful local resource remains accessible to all the local community.
