Our Town Centres
From finding out about what you think via my ‘Future of Neath town centre’ survey, to hosting a meeting at the market with Welsh Government and Neath Port Talbot Council, since I’ve been elected to the Senedd I’ve been campaigning hard for a bright future for Neath Town Centre.
I opened my office on Alfred Street soon after being elected to the Senedd in 2021, and I am honoured to be a part of the community. It also makes me keenly aware of some of the challenges we face – such as a spate of burglaries and attacks on local businesses in 2022, the loss of Marks and Spencer’s in 2024 and ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour.
I also know that Neath town centre has huge potential – from our historic market to our streets full of independent traders, plus our castle, Abbey, and beautiful parks, we have so much to be proud of. I’ve been working hard to make sure that the voices of our traders and business owners are being heard by the council and by Welsh Government to ensure a bright future for our town.
