Swansea Valley schools
Many residents of Pontardawe, Trebanos, Godre’rgraig and Alltwen and the surrounding areas were concerned about the proposal for a new super primary school in Pontardawe at the present site of Cwmtawe School.
After a successful campaign which saw the plans halted there has continued to be issues with some schools in the area including the plight of Godre’r Graig Primary School, whose pupils have been taught out of portacabins for the last six years, miles from their community, following the closure of their school building and its subsequent demolition.
