'My First Vote' Swansea Workshop in Council Chamber, Guildhall, Swansea

I was delighted to be invited to the Guildhall in Swansea, to be part of a session run by the Senedd and Swansea Council Electoral Services to help inform pupils from Cefn Hengoed Community School and Birchgrove Comprehensive School about the Senedd and the forthcoming Senedd election. It was great to be able to tell them about my role, discuss what’s important to them and talk about why it’s important to vote. The Senedd have teamed up with Electoral Services across Wales to host free sessions for pupils 15+ promoting political literacy and information on how to vote in the run up to the Senedd election 2026. As part of the interactive session they discussed how to register to vote, more detail about the Senedd and its work, as well as hosting a mock election.
